Meet Phoenix

We were able to help a fellow fox rescue to procure a home here for this fur farm survivor. When we received Phoenix he was 6 weeks old. If you look close, you will realize Phoenix has no tail! Well, this is why he landed here. When Phoenix his siblings were born in the fur farm his mom was under a lot of stress. She was being kept in a tiny cage with her mate and 6 kits. She became agitated and began to obsessively groom her new babies. This led to her chewing the tails off all of her babies. This is a common occurrence in fur farms. Unfortunately, this put her babies at risk of death as the babies would have incomplete pelts as the got older and were unceremoniously put on death row. That’s where FTF came in! Along with other rescues we were able to save him from certain death. He will live his life out here at FTF with love and companionship forever.
