The Fox Tales Florida Volunteers

Volunteers make up an important part of the Fox Tales Florida! You can contribute your time and talent to support our mission. A volunteer can participate in many activities, such as facility clean-up, trail maintenance, raking, carpentry, and equipment maintenance. You can also contribute by raising awareness of Fox Tales Florida !

VOLUNTEER POLICY

Qualifications & Requirements

  • All volunteers must be at least 18 years old 
  •  All volunteers must sign a liability waiver before entering or being around the foxes. These waivers are good for 1 year. 
  • No one under 18 years of age is allowed to be in the fox area without prior permission from management. 
  • Please empty your pockets before entering fox enclosures or run yards (entire fenced area). No purses, wallets, cigarettes, etc. inside the fox areas. No smoking and no littering! Drinks and food wrappers must be kept in designated areas away from the foxes, and wrappers and bottles must be disposed of in appropriate bins. 
  • Wear appropriate attire. You will get dirty and smelly. Be mindful that these animals may chew, tear, or damage clothing and shoes. 
  • No crowding or cornering foxes in run yards or fox enclosures. No screaming, talking loudly, shouting, or running. This may frighten some foxes and stress them out. 
  •  No putting hands in cages or animal faces. No touching foxes or entering animal enclosures without direct permission from management. And please, no more than two people in or near a fox enclosure at a time. 
  • The residence on the Fox Tales Florida property is private. Do not enter this area unless permission has been given.

Please understand that this is not a petting zoo and that these are sensitive, unpredictable animals. Many have been taken out of horrible situations. Behaviors that cause these animals stress will not be tolerated!
